Standard Goldendoodles are the product of the breeding of Standard Poodles to  Golden Retrievers. The first generation is named an F1 generation which has wavy type coat. This generation is non-shedding and may suit people with mild dog allergies. The second generation is an F1b.  The product of this breeding is an offspring with a tighter curl and is non-shedding and hypoallergenic.  Standard sized Goldendoodles mature to approximately 23 to 25 inches at the shoulder and weigh 45 to 60 pounds as an adult weight. Some Goldendoodles are larger and weigh up to 100 pounds but ours are in the height and weight category mentioned.  Common colors include white, black, cream, apricot, gold, red and brown.  Parti-colors are also now gaining popularity which is the presentation of two different colors.
