Petite/Miniature Goldendoodle

These offspring are the result of planned  multi-generation crosses involving Golden Retriever / Toy or Miniature Poodle and  sometimes Cocker Spaniel.  The result is a much smaller Goldendoodle. This is achieved by first downsizing the adult breeding Golden Retriever.  Breeders accomplish this by crossing the Golden Retriever to the Cocker Spaniel.  The F1 generation of this cross is then bred to a Miniature or Toy Poodle.  The next F1b generation is produced when the Golden Cocker Retriever  is bred with a Miniature/Toy Poodle.  The Miniature Goldendoodle puppies  are 1/2 poodle, 1/4 Cocker Spaniel and 1/4 Golden Retriever. Occasionally breeders may use the F1b generation and breed these offspring back to the miniature or toy poodle to increase the probability of being hypoallergenic. The Miniature Goldendoodle puppies  will be smaller dogs when grown because of the down sizing of the mother dog. Colors can include golden, cream, red, apricot, black, brown and parti-colors (combinations of red with white or two other colors).  Our Miniature Goldendoodles mature at 10 - 16 inches in height and approximately  10 - 20 pounds. Some hybrid blends are smaller than others and the resulting adult weight may be 10-15 pounds and other lines may have a 20-30 pound result.
